Tactile three-dimensional effect on the print. Attractive surface, highlighting the most important graphic details.
Embossing makes us possible to achieve a relief-like effect on letters and design elements using a special cliché. Embossing is the best visible on homogeneous surfaces, as it is highlighted by the light and shadow effects.
Blind embossing may be applied on unprinted sheets to achieve a clear and elegant surface. In this case, the pattern, the text or the vector image is visible without colors, as embossing. A combined cliché may be used for embossing (standing out) and debossing (shrinking in), but the two processes must be at a given distance from each other.
3D embossing is another special technique which is a little bit different from the conventional method. Before the cliché is produced, the image material to be embossed must be designed and drawn. 3D effect is achieved by highlighting those elements from the plane which are closest to the viewer, and the height of the more distant elements is gradually reduced.
WE RECOMMEND IT TO:
The embossed graphic elements create a special surface, this way we achieve an elegant and aesthetic printing product.
Embossing protects the sheets against counterfeiting, thus it is possible to produce custom security printings.
It is necessary to prepare a special cliché for embossing.
It is not worth applying this technique in case of negative texts and thin lines, as the result will not be spectacular enough because of light effects.
