It is a spectacular combination of glossy and special textured matte surfaces inline with printing. It is creative technology for highlighting letters and design elements.
By using hybrid UV drip off varnish it is possible to highlight graphic elements, headlines, or make homogeneous backgrounds more unique with different motifs created with the varnish.
During the printing process, we use oil-based effect varnish and glossy UV varnish to highlight elements. As a result of the combination of the two varnishes we receive a smooth or special textured matte surface.
There are three different kinds of coating methods which are similar in preparation, planning, and technology, but have different looks on the prints.
Matte-gloss UV effect varnish:
: its appearance is similar to matte-foiled and screen-printed spot UV varnished surfaces, however the print does not have to be foiled in this treatment, and still, the result is perfectly accurate and provides more detail-oriented solutions.
Hybrid UV drip off with fine structure:
this treatment can be used to create glossy and finely structured matte surfaces; using this technique it is possible to create special patterns, fine lines and drawings on the pictures and graphic elements inline with printing.
Hybrid UV drip off with rough structure:
by using this technique we can create glossy and visibly roughly structured matte surfaces. The sight of the surfaces suggests exclusivity and durability.
WE RECOMMEND IT TO:
Invitation cards
Folders
Brochure covers
Packaging materials
Advantages:
Due to the varnishing applied on the whole surface, there are no fitting problems.
Varnishing is applied inline with printing, this way we receive a print that can be used immediately.
The preparation of stamps is not expensive. It can be used in case of small orders as well.
Disadvantages:
Maximum sheet size to be treated with hybrid varnish: B2 (720×520 mm)
In case of fine line graphics we do not recommend the application of hybrid varnish, as it spreads more, and this way the thin lines may close (become blurred)
